ANAFAM, the National Association of Medicines Manufacturers of Mexico, joins IGBA For immediate release Geneva, 14 September 2023
IGBA, the International Generic and Biosimilar medicines Association, representing global manufacturers of generic and biosimilar medicines, announced today that ANAFAM has been accepted and welcomed as a new IGBA Associate Member.
ANAFAM is the National Association of Medicines Manufacturers of Mexico, representing the most important generic manufacturing laboratories established in Mexico.
“We are very pleased to welcome the Mexican Association ANAFAM as a new member”, commented David Gaugh, IGBA Chair. “One of our goals is to be a representative body for the global generic and biosimilar medicines industries by attracting the widest assembly of members who are committed to subscribing to our standards and common principles, and to matching the continuous expansion of the International Council for Harmonisation of Technical Requirements for Pharmaceuticals for Human Use (ICH)”. “COFEPRIS is one of the 15 Regulatory Members of ICH”, he added.
ANAFAM Board Member and former President Dagoberto Cortés, commented “It is an honour for ANAFAM to participate as a member of IGBA, whose goals we fully share.
